    • Sarah is listed as a Minor but no father's name is given
    Notes
    • There was some confusion as to who Sara really was.
In 1854 William marries Sarah Slater - fact.

However, in the 1881 census they have an Edward Turner living with them who is listed as Father-in-Law, thus implying that she is Sarah Turner.

However, when she married William her father's name was not given.

      The answer is simple:
She was born illegitimate - see baptism, but her mother then married Edward Turner (presumably her father).
In the 1841 census she is listed as Turner and in the 1881 Edward is listed as father in law to her husband.

There remains one small puzzle, that of the 10 year gap in having children between 1860 and 1870.
