  Cornelius Guinnane is not a known member of the family. He has been added because of the uniqueness of the Guinnane name. The trail started with his wife, Annie Esther Guinnane in the 1939 Nat Reg. She was living in Brighton with her son, Victor and an Alfred Maynard. In the same house was a David R Burchell. Annie had Guinnane crossed out in 1950 and Burchell added. The trail is as follows: Cornelius was born in Ireland around , possibly in Clare He joined the Royal Artillery in 1919 aged 21 years, 10 months; although he may already have been in a different regiment and there is a possible entry for him in Royal Army Medical Corps. http://search.findmypast.co.uk/results/united-kingdom-records?firstname=cornelius&lastname=guinnane He married Annie Esther Maynard in 1924 They had 1 known child - Victor J Cornelius is not with Annie and Victor in 1939 He died in 1949 and Annie then married David Burchall The Alfred Maynard with Annie in 1939 is her younger brother. All 3 born in County Clare County Clare seems to have had a good number of Guinnanes, whereas mine came from Limerick However, there is a Cornelius Guinnane marrying a Brigida Keating in Rathkeale, Limerick in 1821.
