  Note sent to Richard Brown:- This is Nettleslack, although we are a farm we are not called Nettleslack Farm but the house 100 yards up the road, which is not a farm is called Nettleslack Farm!!! Have I confused you enough? Nettleslack was built in 1809, by Mr Stephenson, we are the 3rd generation to live here and as far as my father-in-law knows no one called Sanders lived here but may have lived at Nettleslack Farm. In an old "Shepherds Guide" in 1849 it has John Stephenson living at Nettleslack and William Newton at Nettleslack Farm. [11]
