    • SUSAN QUEEN nee BRAIDBARN / RICE / QUEEN

      Birth Certificate gives her name as Susan Rice illegitimate daughter of Margaret Rice - father not given on Birth Certificate but her surname is later given as Braidbarn.

      Her mother, Margaret Rice, married James Queen (probably not Susan's father) in 1861.

      Later her surname is given as Queen. She probably married her step-father (James Queen's) brother (Owen Queen's) son John. They would not have been "blood relations". Two of their children have Rice as their middle names.

      Probably moved to Tottington during 1883 or 1884.

      Maiden Surname given as Braidburn on their children's births in Tottington.
