Scenes from the pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk starring Clarice Mayne and George Robey.

Description

Shot at the London Hippodrome – the pantomime “Jack & the Beanstalk”. 

Chorus line on stage cheering Jack (Miss Clarice Mayne) on stage. Jack kneels down in front of angel type character. Girls dancing on stage. Pender Giants (troupe of stilt walking actors wearing grotesque masks) on stage set as castle. They do a dance and exit left to right. People on stage, scenery is of giant books piled up. Princess (Miss Madge Saunders) and others on stage. The dame (George Robey) on stage with a cow, they do a dance together. Dame tries to get cow to stand up. Character called Miffins (Jay Laurier) on stage as little boy runs backwards and forwards trying to get in front of him.
