• Notes

  William is named as Eleanor Bigland Robinson's father. In 1841 and 1851 census there are only 6 and 4 entries respectively in the whole of England. There is only 1 suitable candidate and this is he. On her marriage certificate Eleanor says that her father is deceased, which is untrue, but it may be what she was told. See notes attached to William's name In 2022 I found a DNA match on Ancestry to a "56robbo" (either Robert Hoyt or Roger Hoyt). He traces his line back through William's father which adds credence to Eleanor being his daughter. In 56robbo's case he is a descendant of William's brother James
