  	Unfortunately we have conflicted dates of birth. We only have 2 occasions when we are given his age:- When he marries in 1876 he gives his age as 42, this gives us 1834 When he dies in 1895 his age is given as 76, which gives us 1819 There is an entry in the Circumcision Extracts in 1824 for a Juda Leib, son of Moses Jacobs of Charles Street, that would fit. Unfortunately we have nothing else to tie in with it.

  	This is a contentious entry as not everyone agrees that these three are the sons of Moses & Sarah. I have taken to decision to make the entry with this qualification in the hope that it can later be proved/disproved: Sampson Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs and Lawence Jacobs are charged with Larceny from a Dwelling. Note that in the newspaper entry from the 14th., Sampson is named as Sampson Marks but later articles refer to him as Jacobs. Samuel and Laurence (sic) were discharged and the case was dropped against Sampson. However the articles clearly link them as brothers.

  	Bowral Free Press - 03 Aug 1895 ===================== Mr Samson Jacobs - A well-known local identity - Samson Jacobs - died at his residence, Bendooley Street, on Thursday morning. Mr Jacobs, who had been ill for many weeks, and in a state of unconsciousness for about a fortnight, passed peacefully away at the ripe age of 76. He was born in London, and arrived in the colony about 30 years ago. The day of his death was the 12th anniversary of his arrival at Mittagong, where he lived some time before coming to Bowral. During his illness he was attended by Dr. Fisher, the cause of death being paralysis. He leaves a widow and a family of young children. The interment took place in the General Cemetery yesterday afternoon. Mr. Moss being the undertaker. The Rev. Gerard D'Arcy-Irvine officiating.
