  DEATH: Parish Register has note in margin: Thomas Simpson received his death from a blow which he received from William Coward, Shoemaker, at the Public House at Grizebeck - An inquest was held upon the body. Verdict - manslaughter - WW (Assume WW was initials of vicar) No copies of newspapers exist for this period, either for Ulverston or Barrow. No coroners records exist either. So very unlikely to get any more details on this. Could look to see if can find prison record for William Coward
