  • Notes
    • My mum believed that she died age about 5 or possibly when James was about 5
      Possibly died of diphtheria
If the event was when James was 5 (1910 app) then the 1911 Florence E would fit best]

My mother was insistent that her name was Florence!

Spent years trying to find a Florence

When the GRO put the Birth & Death index online - Nov 2016, I searched for all births where father was Carney and mother was Guinnane (not possible before then).
      Bingo, Mary Agnes Carney.
Where my mother got the idea that she was called Florence I have no idea, unless it was a nickname.

There is no way that my grandfather could have known her - she died 5 years before he was born.

Birth certificate confirmed this is the right birth.
In 1911 they declared 4 chidren in total, 3 living and 1 dead.
      Only missing one was 'Florence'
